At Victor Eyecare, we accept most medical insurance plans, checks, cash and most credit cards.
We work directly with you and your medical insurer to submit claims regarding your services received. We strive to ensure that you understand your insurance coverage and will answer any questions you may have regarding your benefits. Most insurance plans require a co-payment for an office appointment as well as additional costs that are covered by the insured patient.
Many eyelid procedures are covered by insurance if they are shown to be "medically necessary." An examination by Dr. Victor and a simple visual field test performed in the office will determine whether a procedure is cosmetic in nature or medically necessary. Most surgeries are submitted to insurance for pre-approval.
The following is a list of major insurance carriers accepted at Victor Eyecare. Please check with our office at 623-977-9000 if you do not see your insurance company listed.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Many employers are offer Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options to employees. Sometimes these are referred to as cafeteria plans and are elective, supplemental insurance savings plans. These plans are designed to let you save money in an account, pre-tax, to pay for additional medical expenses such as eye exams and glasses. Check with the benefits administrator at your work to see if you are eligible for this program. FSAs can typically be used in conjunction with any insurance plan to offset any out-of-pocket costs on your behalf.
